IMO the reliability of JRSC sucks. But lots of people have done ok with them. Go to http://www.rceng.com to figure out the flow ratings youll need for the injectors.

Good luck

Reliability of the JRSC is very good. Its just that people just think its bullit proof and do stupid things to it without tuning and other precautions.

Haha! It was maxed out at 10psi! 12psi is overdoing it unless it got redone.

PSI is air the motor can't use! , The RPMs of the blower is important!. With a good set up the PSI in the manifold will go down but the RPMs of the blower will stay the same. 12 psi on a B16A takes about 13,000 rpms , to do this on a B20Vtec it takes about 18,000 rpms( with the same setup)., Which is easier on the blower?.

On a B18C1 10-11 PSI with a good setup is as high as you will need to go without running into problems. After that the horsepower is eaten up by discharge heat and parastatic loss. You should be able to make 260 + at 10PSI.

On a stock blower , 17,000 rpms is as fast as you should spin it without problems , The Endyn mod will allow upto 19,000 RPMs( I know, I have done it) , I have had 3 blowers let go from spinnig them to hard, they let go around 18,000.
So psi is not always the # you need to look at.

Thanks for clearing that up CRVRX. My post before abou psi was regarding heat issues (which I should have stated).

It's a stock B16a2 so at 13,000 rpm+/- the blower's ok

Ryan, I know your old set up was real close to what I've got planned. Was yours a B16a2 also? (just checked your wep page and saw it was)

Can I use a simple manual boost control valve To dial it down?

What's the safe range for EGT, and Is there an EGT gauge set-up w/ an alarm?

I DO NOT want to burn up this motor!

Yes, I would go with 8.5psi.

Modadict, What size is your motor ? , I have tons of pully combo's and exit temperature infomation. I can give you some set ups I know works as I do this, test this and dyno them all the time. But 240 deg exit is too much, too hard to tune and the power out put is not worth the parastatic loss.

Can you post those info up please? I'm interested to know what they are. Plulley sizes and temp for each please!

CRVRX, do you have specs for just one size blower, ie M45 or all or any?

How many diferent combo's of pulley' can we use altogether anyways?

ModAddict, You have the right pieces so far.
This is a setup I use all the time on B16As.
Stock blower pulley, ( 4.0" or 4.2")
Endyn stepper pulley and GSR or LS crank pulley. ( this will avoid belt slipage)
GSS 343 walboro fuel pump.
Cam gears , IN +2, EX -1
Type R exhaust cam.
This will give you 10 psi and with fuel and timming tunning, ie, Hondata or Z dyne, You should be 230-235WHP and it will run fine. At this blower speed you shouldn't see more than 220 deg exit temps. If I had it , I would send you a dyno of one I did a couple of weeks ago.

CRVRX, do you know what the size of the blower pulley is on the ITR kit? I want to go with as little PSI as possible while making as much power as I can with it. Will the Endyn stepper pulley matched up to the ITR stock blower pulley yield smaller PSI gains like 7.5psi or 8psi? What about using the 4.2" pulley?

Sak, 90% of my work is B series . On a D16, all you can do is change the crank pulley. The biggest being the 99civic EX , that will be the max boost which is 12PSI.

The Type R comes with a 4.2" blower pulley. It comes with 5 psi, with the Endyn stepper pulley you will see + 2.5 - 3 psi increase.

CRVX, what's different with the GSR/LS crank pulley over the stock. How much will the R-exhaust cam, and gears (+2IN/-1EX), effect the EGT? I'm way $$ into this thing right now. Can I put that off or should I buck up now? Thanks!!

WOW, what have I started..
The LS is .5 " corcufarance bigger than the GSR. which = 1 psi more.
The EGTs are effected more by the Air/Fuel ratio .

CRVX , baer with me please.... the jrsc kit I have is the type R kit with the 4.2" pulley. Does this change your reccomendation? I would like to do this once,....well maybe the ex-cam and cam gears later.

I re-read your suggestions and answered myself, I think. Stock blower pulley (mines 4.2), stepper, Ls crank = 8.5-9psi. Is the GSR crank pulley the same size as the B16A2. Would the CRV crank pulley alone w/ the 4.2 = 9psi? I will definately loose the 12 psi blower pulley. THANKS guys!!

The Type R kit is the same as the B16A kit, ie same size blwer and pulley.
The B16A crank pulley is the same size as the R pulley. The B16A runs 6.5-7 psi as it is a 1.6L the R runs 5 psi as it is a 1.8L.
Here goes with the crank pulleys, small to large, B16A/B18C5 , GSR, LS and CRV, go with the sizes I told you, it works very well, don't do the CRV pulley as it will over drive the alternater, which will take more power to run and decrease it's life.
Happy Boosting!
