True it is a machine and true drag racing, road racing, auto-x and other motor sport are probably more destructive to a car. But seeing some bone head go out in the middle of a parking lot and rev his engine so high that he's bouncing off the rev limiter is just plain stupid. A least when I'm destroying my car (i.e. auto-x) I'm actually participating in something that is organized and recongized by the mass.

 

Remind me not to buy that car when it's for sale

You wanna tell what kind of skill is involved in doing what you did in that parking lot, and what kind of skill is involved in burn out competitions.

I'll give you a brief summary of the skills involved in auto-x:
1.) Learn the course 2 hours before you go out.
2.) Make sure you have the right tires and tire pressure.
3.) Make sure you don't **** up on the grid (I could see you doing that.)
4.) Figure your launch RPM speed, different now that you have more air in the tires.
5.) Look ahead during the race (not at the cones you're about to pass.)
6.) Try to get you rear tire as close to the cones as possible as you pass by them.
7.) And try to win against upwards of 100+ people (15-20 in your class.)
