Powerlock vs. Clifford Auto Immobilizer vs. Clifford Wireless Immobilizer
Do the Powerlock and the Clifford Auto Immobilizer basically perform the same function?

I read their description and they seem to do basically the same thing. They both have an additional key where if not used, the car won't start. If they are different, how are they different? Which one is better?
Also, I noticed that Clifford has something called the Wireless Immobilizer, but there is no description of it in the accessories section. How is the Wireless Immobilizer different from the Auto Immobilizer? Is it basically the same thing, but instead of a "touch key" you get a "hands free key"? Thanks!!

the wireless immobalizer is awesome!! it is not connected to the brain of the alarm at all. when the alarm is armed the brain sends a signal to the WI that is connected to the fuel pump, when it is disarmed the brain sends a signal to the wireless immobalizer to disarm. when the theives brake into your car and finds the brain, rips it apart and start the car it will start like normal...BUT if the unit connected to the fuel pump dont get a signal from the brain within 20 seconds after the car is started the unit will shut down the fuel of the car down as soon as the theves step on the brakes. then he wont be able to start it again all while he is in the middle of the steet so he would probably just abandon the car.

Too bad clifford discontinued it because DEI didnt want it in thier lineup.

The wireless immobilizer is still a part of the Avantguard 4 security system.
