5 lug conversion: Is mine USDM (32 mm hub/axle) or JDM (36 mm hub/axle)?
I just called the seller and he isn't sure whether the 5 lug conversion I bought from him is USDM or a JDM, but he thinks it's a USDM because he took it off his USDM ITR race car. I measured the inner diameter of the hub and it came out to 32 mm, which is USDM (as opposed to JDM 36 mm). I'm not sure if I measured it correctly or not, so I attached a picture of how I measured it. Please let me know if I measured it correctly or not. Thanks!
That looks like USDM.
If he had it on his ITR Race car, I would bet it would be USDM.
IF you really want to make sure.
Take that thing down to your local Parts store (napa, atuozone.. etc) and ask to see a axle for an integra or civic si. See if it inserts into the whole.
But like I said.. By your pick its USDM!!!
Your good to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!

is it really a big difference? I understand if you got a jdm motor with the 36mm axles but if you have a usdm its all good . Am I correct?
I know for the jdm hub conversion its way different but if you have jdm motor theres no prob but if you have us motor big prob if you bought the jdm conversion.
The problem isn't with the size of the hole on the JDM tranny, it's the hub..where the brakes are. JDM ITRs have bigger axles due to the size of the rims (16").
It is a big problem if you actually have the 36mm hubs. There are no usdm B series axles that will fit. You need to have a custom set made. Not worth the hassle imo.
I never knew that the engine had anything to do with the hubs and axles. You see pictures of cars with no engines and all 4 wheels intact. So if this is the case, if somebody gets a JDM engine for his car, but without the 5 lug conversion, he would need new hubs?
What I'm saying is, the JDM ITR axles aren't compatible with the 32mm hubs on USDM civics and integras (for obvious reasons).
They will fit in the tranny fine, it's at the brake hub that you have the problem.
USDM has 26 splines and the JDM ones have 28 splines so just count the splines out and that will answer your question.
32 mm and 36 mm is the nut size on the axles. not the axle size. The axle size is measured by spline count. I think its 26 and 28 splines. oh wait, someons already said that. what a retard.

FYI, You will need to mix and match in order to fit a 36mm outer axle, sourced from Prelude axle with a USDM B-series inner axle/boot to fit the tranny, if you indeed have a JDM 36mm hub. Otherwise, you can try your luck and find a CTR, JDM ITR complete axle, which will fit directly.

CTR dont have 36mm axles, they have 32mm... i might be wrong but i'm like 80% sure. only ITR 98 and up i think have the 36mm. good luck.
My guess would be that since its a 32mm diameter for the HALFSHAFT, that it would be a 36mm nut bolt, meaning its a JDM 5lug. Correct me if Im wrong.
In theory, how would you have a 32mm bolt that grabs on a 32mm diameter half shaft?
