Ok, I got my car Dynoed yesterday, and Im dissappointed. Its a 2000 GSR with 40,000 miles. F-Max kit @ 8psi with thicker head gasket. The only other mods are a 2.5 cat back and Autometer Lunar series Boost, A/f, EGT and Oil Pressure and HSK turbo timer. Just take a look, WTF is up with the drop @ 4500 RPM's???? It looks like VTEC is kicking my ***. Correct me if Im wrong, but doesnt it start at 4400 RPM's? The guys doing the dyno said that the Apex-i VAFC could cure this and that the thicker head gasket is screwing with my cam's so they also recomened some AEM adjustables. Well....any sujestions? Could VTEC be that bad for Turbo? BTW im in Colorado at an Altutide of around 5,500 ft.
Next A/F. It all looks good except for the Richness at 6000 and then the Leanness at 7000. They tried adjusting the F-max MF2 but got the same results every time. I spent about 3 1/2 hours at the Dyno, made about 12 pulls all in 4th gear. Grrr I was expecting around 220 hp and 190 tq. At least Im making good tq down low.

Just noticed, your not running anything to alter the VTEC, are you? The stock setting shouldn't be kicking it in that early. Almost looks like they let off the gas and got back on it...

Jeff-
well, not bad considering you have no tuning tools.
you can't adjust ignition or cam timing. you can't adjust fuel or vtec engagement points.
either go hondata or get a vafc.

No, I have no VAFC and I have no cam gears. The dyno tuners said if I bought those two items that they might be able to fix the problem.

you have at least 3 or 4 problems ...
1) your VTEC is not working
2) either your MAP, TPS or O2 is causing your ECU to goto limp mode, check the map sensor maybe your check valves are wrong or you dont have enough
3) boost leak, like a crack in manifold etc
4) your manual boost controller is goign in and out of boost ... check it

yea u definately need to get cam gears to adjust the timing back to stock...also I had a similar problem of losing power over vtec and how we fixed this was by lowering vtec to 4500 and secondaries to 4800.
take the vaccum tube off the secondaires, and put it right to the manifold, so their open all the time. You need to ditch the MF2 asap. Go with ethier the V-afc hack (do a search) or some type of standalone. You need need to bump vtec up higher...
