Default 91 HF Brake Conversion

Hello guys, i did the search for brake conversions for crx, i came across several threads but am still comfused. Am converting to the b16 engine and am under the impression that i need to get new brakes. (disk brakes) If i do need to get new brakes what is recommended, the vehicle will be used for everyday driving, but am gonna test the engine every chance i get. I would like to know, what brands and what parts i would need to do this.
thank you
jose

Well I was in the same boat as you when I got my B16 swapped into my HF. I actually went with 90-93 Integra brakes that I got for 50 bucks from HMO when I ordered my swap. You have to replace the whole knuckle and hubs when doing this. If I were you I would at least go with the stock Si one's or if you want bigger ones like mine, then I'd go with some 91 Civic Ex ones. These will bolt on better than the Teg ones and will not mess with your alignment. The cheaper route will be to go to the stock Si ones, since I'm sure you will be able to find these pretty easy. The Civic Ex's ones are pretty rare and will cost double the amount.
That's my .02

i was in the junk yard yesterday and i pulled the front brakes/knuckles off of a 91 LX sedan..

guess what!?!?!

they are the biggies just like the EX brakes/ integra and more common

i actually didnt get them because i felt 80 bucks was too much for all that stuff considering i had to pull them

LX isn't like the EX. I have an LX... STOCK they are small. EX sedan is the ONLY one with the Integra sized 10.3 rotor that you can bolt on with no modification.

well sence you have a HF you need new hubs/knuckles so grab them off any 88-91 Civic/CRX thats not a HF/STD and you will be fine. the EX's are the biggest.

note that you dont have to change your calipers and rotors. the HF units will bolt strait up to the DX/Si knuckles. and DX/Si caliper/rotors will bolt strait to HF knuckles. no mods! strait swap...
