The old S200 pricing is back!
Well, they said they were gonna bring back the old S200 minus the mandatory 3 step rev limiter but looks like they finally updated it on their website. It's back down to $295 for the base system
hondata for listening to us, the consumers
hondata for listening to us, the consumers
WHats the price on the boost option and 3step rev limiter
The s100 isn't upgradable, whereas the s200 is.
The base s200 (now) does not come with the launch control and full throttle shift, thats why its back to $295.

[QUOTE]The s100 isn't upgradable, whereas the s200 is.QUOTE]So you can't rechip it again? I mean all I would really want is s100 with boost. I don't care for the 3 step and all that.

no no, the s100 is reprogrammable.. you just cant upgrade it.. ie: you can't buy the launch-control upgrade, or the full-throttle shift upgrade or the G-Module, etc etc.
oh thats cool then. I don't really want all that extra stuff. So if I go with vtec(b18b now) later, I can just reprogram right? To reprogram do you have to take out the chip or can you do it with the hondata inside the ecu?
allright, im kinda new to all this, but i have a 95 integra gsr running drag 3, what stage do i need? s200? then you can have boost upgrade and stuff like that? can someone explain to a newb? thanks
You have 2 options.. you can get the s100 with boost for $445. If you go this route, then you need someone with V3 RomEditor or a dealer to program it for you initially and whever you need a re-tune.
If you get the base s200 with boost - $295 + $200 boost upgrade, then you are in the same boat. However, if you wish in the future, you can upgrade and buy the V3 romeditor and programmer and tune it yourself, and you have the option if you wish in the future, to upgrade to have the full-throttle shift and launch control. You can also get the new G-sensor Module upgrade with the s200.

I plan on purchasing a s100 soon and installing it myself along with some RC 440 cc injectors. Will I have a problem starting my car upon completion of the install. The reason I'm asking is because I don't have a laptop and I won't be able to communicate with the ECU. Is there a special precedure that I will have to follow just to start the caror can I just install both and just let her rip.
Sorry about the length...

This doesnt make any sense. Why even sell the s100 now if the prices are almost the same?
good.
i still think they should just eliminate the s100 and sell the s200 for $445. all these added options and lesser options is not making things easier.

you know with Hondata making it so easy to upgrade by using serial numbers, you'd think they'd have to deal with a lot of pirating problems. Unless the serial numbers are just impossible to break...I spose there's failsafe's built in so no two people can use the same serial #....
