Yep. a great copy of the S2000 tails.

 

Not to be knitpicking, but the RX-8 or RX-Evolv/RX-1 was being developed before the last RX-7 was even released, circa '92.

The S2000, per Automotive news, started development in 1997, well after the RX-Evolv was making it's rounds through the car shows.

Just FYI.

The RX-7 guys SWEAR that Dodge copied the RX-7 body style from Mazda to the Viper, but infact, they both copied TVR, which had been designing a Speed 6 for sometime before either of them had considered building their respectiive cars.

hmm how come i see s2000's with a half amber section? are they aviable in earlyer years? or is this another jdm thing?

 

Honestly give credit where its due...

Honda copied the general style for ALL of their 80s car from the vennerable Ferrari 400/412i...a style dating to the time of the 365 GT4 series on the early 70s (a guy over on ferrarichat.com has a nice red '73..looks the same but with 6 tail lights instead of the now trademark 4)

BTW, 400 or 412i have a delightful V12 front engined drive train....and like most f-cars...a seductive exhaust tone that rice burners only would dream of possessing
