I kinda suck.

GTI I can run consistent 140s, once hit a 136, 138 is common.
GT I am consistent 139, that is if I don't lose control (RWD sucks *****)\

I simply don't get how people are beating those times by 9+ seconds, I'm pushing my cars to the limit and I'm using the "ideal" setups.

Incredibly realistic racing sim. Still in beta, but fun nonetheless.

do you mean real life ideal setup? or LFS ideal setup? because they are completely opposite. The physics model of the suspension and tires arent finished yet, so seting up the car like you would a FF will handle like crap.

just keep playing. My pb is 1:33.25 and Ive only been playing occasionally for 2 weeks.

<---best 1:32.80, consistent low-mid 1:33s

The setups for LFS are all backwards. Stiffen the end you want to grip more. Stiffer setup also let you hop over curbs better. The key is in the braking, you gotta avoid lock-up at all cost. Reduce the braking force to where you can consistently brake without lockup. I'm using around 620 braking force and .81 f/r bias. Also don't shift higher than around 7300RPM...

Another good tip: download the record lap replays from the site records section and watch...

If the server is still up, i'm up for a game later tonite

no problem...

oh and another way to run consistent 1:45's like i do, is to drink a lot before playing. me chan and evan have played a few times, and its fun to get hammered while driving (just like real life... j/k)

Am I going to have to download this game so I can paste everyone?

Has mAd sKiLlZ on video games. No real world skills to speak of.

This isn't like a video game, it does require the real world skills.

I'm consistent at 1:36 even now.

Tyson was just in, he got rolled hard.

What is everyone using for controls?

I stopped playing that type of computer game a while back and have nothing to use.
