i didnt know which forum to post in so i thought this one would work?

im looking for a nice set of locking hoodpins, that arent easy to pic open or cheap, something in black or polished,
anyone know where to get some?

hmm whoppee. this was back in like 98-99 fool. i didnt have acess to anyother exhausts for one, plus i bought the car with it on there so i wasnt the one who bought the "tip". the wing was on for a few months then taken off big deal. and i belive you liked the red tint and wanted to get blue tint for you SI.

but none of that even compares to blue tinted altezza's and led washer lights you had on your stock Civic SI

plus you dont even know the reason im getting the hood pins

tim just get some pins. the only locks i know of the quality of them suck. just get some pins with the ropes on them so nobody can steel your pins.

 

im not worried about them stealing the pins, im worried about them taking stuff off my motor, im taking the locking deal out

 

huh? what the point of having locking then if they dont lock? you want pins or locks?

 

im taking the stock locking mechanism out of the car, so i will need hoodpins to hold the hood down, but i want locking ones or else people would be able to walk right up and get under my hood

 

do not just use hood locks and no hood latch, very dangerous. i tried that and the hood flew into my windshield. I will not ride or drive a car with no hood latch.

 

well my hood wont sit down all the way and it bugs the **** out of me, if i find a good set of pins i think it should hold fine. i have a freind with a del sol his is held ob by hood pins 2 in front 2 in back, he took off the latch and the brakets in the back it never flew off

 

any other opinions?

you can adjust the hood latch and the things on the side that screw down.. and why are hoodpins rice.. if safety is rice then im a ricer .. now if you have a stock hood and a hood latch and you get pins to look cool thats different but that doesnt seam to be the case here

 

I bought some cool ones on ebay. They take one of those round keys like you use to open vending machines. They are flat and the key goes into the top. Check Ebay. I paid $28 for the pair.
