Default Passive Radiators?

I'm pressed for space and I am convinced I then need a passive radiator correct? I am looking to buy a Eclipse 15" Titanium Subwoofer, can you passive Radiate a sub that big? How big does the box need to be? Can I do it myself? Or where can I buy it?

Do an isobaric box. You will need 2 subs and twice the power, but half the space.

Ok I will try and help you out here. A passive radiator as you may already know is just a sub without a magent and so on. The passive radiator MUST be tuned like a port. A port is easy to tune more so then a PR. The radiator has pluses and minuses. I did some PR stuff before. Gets to be a pain at times. If your pressed for space you don't need a PR you just need a smaller box or sub. Some subs do not like a PR or a port. If I was you I would just build a sealed box for the Eclipse. But that is just me. The Eclipse is more a SQ sub. But it is up to you. I would not get into the PR category unless you have ALOT of experience with subs and so on as tuning can become a bitch and designing the box and so on. But it is up to you. If you want you can go to http://www.adireaudio.com and buy one of their subs and so on and get a passive radiator kit and box instructions and everything. That might be best if you want to go the PR route. Best of luck
