I started going over the wiring harnesses for the USDM f22 and JDM H22 today. I got all the VTEC wiring, knock sensor, and secondary wiring figured out no problem. It seems like the JDM H22 is lacking a ECT sensor that the f22 has (apparently, the USDM H22 has it. . .its shown in the helms). The f22 has a sensor right on the neck for the upper radiator hose, but that passage is closed off on the H22. Is this normal? Is the sensor located somewhere else on the H22 (I cant find one)?

Secondly, There is an extra solonoid right above the fuel rail on the jdm h22. Is this another part of the IAC system. It has two vaccum lines and a 2-wire connector, what is this thing?

Any help much appreciated!! Now I just need to lay into that damn distributer. . .

eh, disregard the first question. . .I figured out the JDM dosn't have the ECT sensor B.

The f22 is out, I was working on cleaning up the H22 and engine bay and starting on the wiring today. I still need to figure out what I'm gonna do about the exhaust though. I'm working in my garage, by myself since not everyone finished finals on monday likeme.

You don't need that black solenoid that is on the fuel rail. It is inbetween the FPR and the plentum right?

Yes, that is the one I'm talking about. It has one vaccum line from the FPR and another going somewhere else on the intake or manifold (can't remember exactly where). It also has a 2-wire connector but I can't find a plug for it on the JDM harness, does anyone know the wire colors for it? I'm pretty sure it's part of the IAC system (not the IAB system, which is the vaccum secondaries). If it is part of the IAC system, I still don't have the diaphram or accumulator box to control it. If I don't need it, what should I do with the vaccum lines running to it?

the sensor ("The f22 has a sensor right on the neck for the upper radiator") that your talking about is for your sencond radiator fan to activate. Basicaly its like a turbo timer it will turn on/off by it self.

 

yea u need to swap out the jdm one for the f22 one with the sensor.

 

That dosn't make any sense though. Why would JDM cars have one less fan to control?

 

usdm ones dont have it either, just the sohc maybe h23s.. but i dont think that is connected to the ecu just a temp fan switch

P.S and yea that switch is on all the time, it will sometimes activate the fan for awhile even when the car is completely turned off

I had the same problem, Just use the neck fromm the F22.
