Questions on old stages Hondata systems
I have a hondata stage 2, i don't need the new features on the new S200 models so i will not be upgrading. Will the stages 1,2,3,4 be obsolete or can the new version of rom editor also work on the older versions of hondata???

the rom editor v3 will not work on the odl ones. you have to use the v2.5
im in the asme boat, but i dont think its a big deal . just have access to less maps.

It's not a big deal. Most Hondata dealers, like us, will have the v3 and v2.5 software to do either or.

The RomEditor v3 should work with the older version of Hondata. However, certain new and improved features are only available when used with the S200.

it wont . i found out from Hondata , becuase i even asked them that .
If you have the v3 software and you are trying to make a new map.
The first thing it ask you is : v3(s200 or s100) or v2.5(stage 2, 3,4)
From there you go do your thing. So as long as you new software or old software and stage4b then you can still tune the older stage 2,3,4.
Edit - made it less confusing. The new software has a option to select version 3 for s200, s100 or v2.5 for stage 2,3,4.

so with my 4b i can still use the V3 and all the new maps that aer on it ?
are you sure on this?
they aid no when i asked them
they said the only way i could use v3 is if i had s200 or s100 with the rom editor option on it
orif i upgraded mine .
now they said you can have a s100-s200 and tune stage 2-3-4, but the 2-3-4 cant tune s100-s200

ok your getting it mixed up here.
v3 software - will work for s200, s100
V2.5 software - stage 2,3,4
However with the new software from Hondata you can select either v3 or v2.5.
With the stage 4b you have to be on v2.5.
