Default ITR Intake Cam W/ GSR Exh Cam?

I am looking for some feedback from those that have tried using a ITR Intake cam with a GSR exhaust cam (or similar setup). They would go into a GSR with an intake header and Exhaust. I have already done a search with no luck.

Thanks Guys

if i were you i would just get both the type r cams. this is because you get the full potential of your cams, rather than partially. my friend has intake ctr cams and a stock b16, his vtec is loud, but i think he needs the other cam. also one of his valve froze or got cloged. i duno if it helps.

I'm pretty sure all honda exhaust cams are the same.

The reason why I ask is that I have a ITR intake cam collecting dust in my garage and one of my friends has a GSR that needs some performance upgrades. Sounds as if it will work........

They are a bit different... That is totally fine to do... As long as you got a GSR exhaust cam the difference between it and a CTR/ITR isn't too much... But over a B16 i would recommend the exhaust... Do what you were first talking about... I don't know what year ITR cam you have but if it's 2000+ then it's the same spec as a CTR... That's all you need and you'll definately get some power... Now if you're runnning a STOCK GSR computer with no VTEC or fuel controller you'll still run fine but if you ever hook one up then you'll be able to tune more power out of that cam... I don't like the B18C1 with a CTR/ITR intake cam and a stock computer... The stock ECU's VTEC x-over is too low and causes the motor to bog and I really don't like the IAB's in the stock manifold... If you got any more questions lemme know.. Good Luck

Thanks for the info. I have a 12 sec all motor DC2 myself and understand all the tunning aspects. I just have never had any first hand experience with this setup. Thanks again for all the info.
