what is the high side of normal, for egt tems in a h22 turbo?

the reason im asking is i saw an autometer egt gage for sale, and it goes to 1600, is that enough?

I was told that as the temps approach 1400 the danger zone arises...so 1600 is ebough, IMO

Granted I don't have the same setup but 1,600 should be fine. I have a Turbo D16 and autometer guages, I've never seen temps above 1450 or so and even then thats starting to get sketchy. Staying safe will keep you below 1600.

(my autometer guage goes to 1600 and its fine for me)
