Default thermoswitch, fan on, cold redline.... any help its good

k if i am not mistaken the thermoswitch on the back of the block controls when ther fan turns on... also tells the ecu the engimes temperature....
now....i live in Ohio and right now the weather its cold as ****..... anyways i would turn my engine on and the fan will turn on..... i think it might be bad swtich.... anyways i disconected my fan bc its not needed here in the cold.... well even when my engine is hot , my ecu keeps redlining in the cold rev.. 6200.. i have to really push it a few times in order to have it on hot rev 6800.... i tried getting a higher thermostat but i only can find a 180 deg , not a higher one like a 195..... anybody can tell me any pointers on how to control the signal the ecu its getting??? i am tired of having to pull out and run and have to shift by 6200..... thanxs

switch on back controls fan, temp sensor under dizzy tells ECU what is going on.

Your in Dayton, it is not cold yet. Wait till end of January.

Ask your locals for Joe'e Sabo. He is working out of Centerville. If he gets stuck he calls me, Caleb, or Dave for help.

BTW you might end up being stuck with us in the Ohio crew, we are a weird bunch.
