Installing TV In car
either get an indash monitor which is expensive or just get like wutever size lcd monitor u liek and install where theres room. i f not get soem visor screens and hook those up to ur ps2. for me im getting an indash with a seperate dvd/cd player. soem visor screens too and my ps2 will come later.
what kind of car is it? I'd go for an in-dash display. The sony or the alpine are about 1000$ for a 7"lcd in-dash but no cd reciever, and if your going to hook up a ps2 you can use that as your cd/dvd player.
okay just for the record...its video monitors....it becomes a TV when it can receive over air broadcasts. I get so many peeps in my store with just the blue screen wondering why nothing is happening and they dont have any video source hooked up what so ever and they thought they had purchased a tv for the car.
okay this is what you need.....
A monitor....( since i dont know what car you are doing this to ) you can use a 5.8" sceen up to a 15" ( or if your really game a 22" lcd) it all depends on where you place it and what mount locations are available. there are so many choices availble an in dash w/ radio,an in dash mointor...visors,raw screens ( just monitor with guts...no cosmetic trim panel)..etc. Just a word of caution...i would only buy this item in person...there are way to many bad models ( ie burned out pixels on screens) out there...have the seller plug it up and let you see it ( many companies know that this is a problem so they have the units shrinked wrappred but with the ability to test it to make sure it functions..if its bad you can send it back as long as you have not unwrapped it.)
audio...you will need a fm modulator or a direct connect inout depending on what type of radio you are using. fm modulators go between the radio and the antenna and allow broadcast on a certain fm frequency. Excpect to spend from $50-300.00 depending on which way you go ( alpine and kenwood have to great fm modulators that run about $80-100.00..they both have an aux input)
power....the cheapest way is to get an ac/dc convertor...the run about 30-50 bucks and you can plug this into the dc power port ( lighters for the non tree hugger types
) to provide power for the game system.
there you go kinda long but hopefully informative.....have fun
