Superchargers
I'm sure this has been a topic before, but there's nothing in the archive about it.
Does anyone know who makes the whipple charger kit for Honda's in Cali.? I remember seeing their web-site some time ago just can't remember the name of the place. Or, is there another group making a kit for Honda's?
By looking at my Sig. I see we're a mature bunch here at Honda-tech.com . I wonder if it's worth my trouble to be here dealing with a few ignorant slobs.

Okay that's nice what's that got to do with anything? I didn't need to know your fat. I just wanted to know if anyone knows who makes the kit. If you don't know please don't go showing off your knowledge of crappy animations that attempt to be humorous. Remember I'm lame what's the point in flaming me I don't make fun of people I point out the obvious.
i looked into the whipplecharger.
1) it was way too expensive
2) it seemed like it was too costly to mod everything in the engine bay to make it fit
3) the name its too gay to be a car product.

Rimmer Engineering used to have a page, but it's gone. The only other place I've found is http://www.civinco.com/ but they don't have finished kits. If you find anything useful please post it up.
It's not that expensive compared to the cost you'd expend trying to keep that Jackson unit from detonating under higher boost conditions.
If you make everything yourself it doesn't cost much at all just the gas for the welder and the Epoxy for the composites.
I agree about the name. If it's fast I don't really care what it's called though. I do have to say it would be a viable solution for my dual-charged engine, eh?
Thanx for the info though.

u dont know wth ur talking about. dunno what u consider high boost...but jackson's are only efficient up to like 15 and maybe a couple more lbs of boost, at that point u can run water injection, or some guy has developed a way to run an air to water with it. at 10 -12psi.....u can run on the road course w/o detonating, i've done it myself. oh btw...don't try to talk like ur smart
Umm, read the post then decide again who doesn't know what their talking about there, buddy. The whipple charger can run up to 60psi. That's a bit more than a turbo; by like 15psi. An air to liquid isn't that hard to weld up either. I' rather use alcohol injection so as not to risk hydro-lock. The rest of your statement was gibberish please try to make sense if you have any valid information, Thank You
English is your friend.
Enough of that. I was considering developing a Whipple-charger kit. I'd have to acquire one, but before I do that I'd like to know if there would be any interest in a full kit with a stand-alone and intercooler and how much you'd pay for such a kit. It would be a fully programable stand-alone with data-logging. Maybe even some injectors also. Need some feed-back here.
I just checked out the Civinco site and noticed they use the stock TB and manifold. My kit would be an entire manifold combo similar to the Jackson units. I might even include a TB. I'm thinking of just having different trim levels of the kit for every need and budget.

I'm sorry I, don't kid around much at all. I believe in being straight forward in a society that is always laughing. I laugh when I'm f@cked up. All your base. What's base other than methylenedioxy-n-methylamphetamine or just a refferal to the lower frequencies of sound. You decide which it is. If it doesn't go Badda Bing Badda Boom would you like me to build you an engine to do whatever you want with and be garanteed it won't blow up short of C-4?

If you are serious I would be interested. I have the JR kit right now and its fine for what it is. Yes, the design has some limitations but it also has some distinct advantages and properly setup it can make very respectable power. There is a guy on the FI Integra board who has a 12 PSI JRSC with water/alcohol injection and Hondata engine management who is making 250 WHP and his torque curve is flat as nebraska.
Anyway, enough about JR, The Whipple is a better design, period. If someone can make a REAL kit with or without an intercooler (although that would be very nice) they would find buyers. I'm certain of that.

Got any pics of his Dyno chart? I can make that much power with; I'm betting 7-8lbs on a Whipple, intercooler, and no alcohol injection. I have to get my sponsors approval (friend with the moolah) otherwise I have to buy the Whipple myself. I'm serious though. I wanna give people a better choice than Jackson and Vortech when not wanting to go the turbo route. Nitrous, well we'll just leave that alone. I don't care much for bottles. Very few people I know have set-up a really good Nitrous system. The good ones I've seen could've been better but they got cheap and lazy in the last week of the build-up.
I have two Autorotor superchargers that are brand new and would sell them for $1300 each. These are capable of 20 psi effeciently and are made specifically for the B-series. I got burned by rimmer and I am left with two incomplete kits that someone is welcome to finish. I'll include the kits with the blowers and seperate.
If you're interested I have pics and everything.

Let me see the pics. Are they the ones in the Aluminum boxes? Those are pretty nice ones I was originally thinking Whipple, but now I don't know. There has to be better. I'm not a fan of plastic under the hood.
Look falcon I know you must be a very deprived lonely child stuck in a man body. If your gay come to terms. If your just bored and think I'm entertaining then you really need to get a clue. I've never cared if people ostracized me before I came to this forum, nor do I care now. If all you can do is throw off-hand outlandish remarks and not actually help anyone why don't you just go shoot up that's about the same way of dealing with internal strife. If you truelly have aproblem with innovation then you are into the wrong hobby, or field (whether your into this on the professional level has yet to be seen) I'm sure you are very good at whatever you do for work otherwise you wouldn't have so much free-time. I don't care what any-body thinks about me personally. It's the quality of work I do that matters to me. I can move to a place where the people are more accepting with the money I earn doing the research and finding a way to develope the best prduct possible. I don't care if a lot of the people in the "scene" are connected with each other I just need the people that will put their differences aside and help each other out. I think your one hell of a smart guy just a bit too sarcastic. How do you expect anyone to take you seriously? I sure as hell don't think you are too good with engines except for wrenching. Sorry if I offend anyone It's how I see it. No B.S.

It's not about peak power with sky high rpms. It's about the low end grunt and the torque, which is actually what pushes you back in the seat, and really is what accelerates the car NOT HORSEPOWER. If you still don't get it your dumber than I thought. Horsepower is a steady-state measurement, as in not varying much at all. Sure doesn't sound like acceleration to me.
It's enunciated BASE not BASS(as in the fish) GET IT?
Seeing as you're claiming to be an engineer. What kind of engineer?
Is it the real kind or the drafting board kind?
