Default I got the Hondata IM gasket BLUES

Ok, after days of research on the Hondata IM gasket, i have a question.
1st off, I have a 00 civic si, and a "Race Version" IM gasket-----coolant passage is blocked.
Anyways, i am planning to install according to Zips write up by "T"ing into the Heater control line, while searching, i came to the issue of someone saying the heater will not work, is this true?

I am in FL so is rarely cold, but when its like 40-50 out i like the heater on.

So my question is, will installing the gasket according to Zips write up sacrifice my heater?

OK i was planning on doing the Race Version, so i could block the coolant from going into the IM, however i actually went out and looked at it just now and it seem the coolant just passes through the IM in that one place, am i wrong?????

In the 1st pic is the line the race version blocks off and eliminates, the 2nd pic is where that coolant line leaded to (I thought it went to the IM itself but it just goes down the the Thermostat housing.

If this is the only place where coolant passes through the IM i might just cut out the opening and just bypass the TB. Im really not sure what to do now, someone please give me some insight.

if that is the only place i am really debating on the whole race setup thing, its more work involved, and really that one little spot wont make that huge of a difference, im thinking now, just to cut the gasket and bypass the TB

the only advantage is blocking off that line, so coolant running through it wont heat soak the IM more
