Default Swap Help

I posted this here because I am sure that there are ALOT of people here with the same swap is me. I am putting a B16 out of a 99si in my 92 civc si, here's the problem. I am using the 92 harness on the 99 B16, I swapped out the injectors with the D16 (they flow the same) so everything would plug up, but here lies the problem. The altenator plugs are different. How do I go about fixing this? Do I swap out the plugs? If so how can I figure out which pin goes where? Any help is greatly apprectiatted.

you should use the 99-00 si wiring harness and use either the 99-00 si ecu or a chipped p28 w/ an obd2 to obd1 cornversion harness.

I was told by several people that my 92 si harness would work. It is so far, I am just looking for info on changing the pins and plug that goes into the alterantor.

I have no experience to offer, but will an OBD1 b-series alternator bolt up? I think the plucgs will fit your harness, I just don't know if the alternator will bolt in.

Good luck.

No. Unlike the 94-01 Integra engine harnesses, the 99-00 Si harness will NOT plug into the 1992 Civic body harness.

I have this swap.

Use the 1992 Si engine harness.

You'll have to swap a few things around though, but it's the easiest way.

There is a small difference in the distributor wiring in the coil wires. One uses two plugs while the other only uses one plug, but the wire colors are the same and it very easy to see this when you compare the two. I'm pretty sure it's the coil wires. I'll be able to know for sure tomorrow when I look at my 1992 Si with 99 B16A2 swap.

As far as the alternator thing goes, I got my B16A2 from a pal who had it in his 1995 EX coupe, so it was already sussed out. Again I'll find out tomorrow once I get to look at the wiring.

Use the 92 wiring harness, a p30 or rechip your p28, and get an alternator from a 94-95 del sol b16a, I dont know about the pins I would just get the correct alterneator, and sale the 99 si alternator. Are you sure about the single cam injectors flowing the same as B series?

B18C5-EH2 thanks for the info man, but I already switched the guts from the D16 distributrer to the B16 distributer (actually a friend who owns a shop did it) so the plugs line up. The only issue I am having now is the whole alternator thing. If you could tell me the wire colors on the alternator plug tommorow, I would greatly appreaciate it. Thanks again.

Idon't know about the flow rate, but i'm using dx injectors in my b16 and it still runs rich.
