well today i recieved my head like i was supposed too... but when i opened the box there sat the head (d16y8)... BUT the head wasnt complete like he said it was (complete-head, intake manifold, TB, injectors, fuel rail, cams, valves, valve springs, valve cover etc)... i dont see no intake manifold... so i IM him...
i ask where is the intake manifold???
he tells me that he told me it didnt come with it...
???(WTF)???
i then IM back saying u never told me nothing about it NOT coming with it... u said complete head... i even asked u about the sensors on the intake man. and u said it was OK...
i then take out the head and see that the head looks clean BUT another problem one of the valves is cracked
he tells me that it was fine when he first shipped it out... i dont know what happen maybe he blew this motor or i dont know... the packaging for the head sucked just popcorn and the head was sitting very low at the bottom... which i told him to wrap up good... and he told me yes it will with lots of popcorn and bubble wrap... wheres the bubble wrap???
he has stopped replying to my IM since this morning... I need help what should i do...??? sorry for this post... i didnt want to do this but u stopped replying so i have to do something about it... i hate gettin ripped off... and if u had to go somewhere u could have just IM saying so but seems like he didnt want to talk to me anymore...
he also IM me asking to vouch for him because he was selling the pistons, rods, and crank... DONT BUY IT FROM HIM YET unless he shows u pics becuase he may have blown this motor...
and when he first was selling this head it took over 2 weeks before he gave me the OK to buy it... he was saying that it was at a shop and the shop owner owed money to the landlord... the landlord closed the shop and couldnt get the head... y wouldnt he be able to get his parts???
i knew i shouldnt have bought it but it was my fault... this what make me not want to buy parts off of here anymore

OK I just found this post and its time to hear my side of the story.

He wanted the complete HEAD that includes the cam, springs, retainers, cam gear, and valve cover. I was going to throw in the Intake manifold and distributor IF I had it, I went to the shop my motor was pulled at and looked for all the items I just stated, and I did not find the intake and asked one of the owners where it was and he said he didnt know. Also, he bought the complete HEAD for $100 with only 45k miles on it.

When I did tell him all the sensors were ok were BEFORE I knew I didnt have the Intake, I then checked and told him the next day that I didn't have it and the only Intake I had was a B18B (the engine I swapped in.) He said that was OK.

About the shipping I did not package it and when I went to the shipping place I told the lady I would like it wrapped in bubble wrap and filled with peanuts, she said "will do" paid after filling info and then left, so How is it my fault the shipping was not done according to what I requested.

SO when he told me that the valve was cracked I told him I would buy him a new valve and ship it to him no problem, he gives me no response to this offer. The motor was NOT blown. I stopped replying b/c I had to go run my daily errands and get some stuff done, but I had replying 3 or 4 times before I left.

Futhermore, the shop was Shut Down, as the tennats were not able to make the last months rent so the landlord locked the doors, then after they paid the remaining balance they could get all thier sruff out. He would not let me get the PARTS b/c I could not prove owner ship b/c the head was laying in a different spot as the block with the vin number on it. So he set a date for everyone to get thier stuff and at that point got all of my items.

People are so quick to point fingers and say I got ripped off when that was not what happend in this case, I have continued IM'ing him in order to reach an agreement. So before you come zipitie my ***** and all that you need not judge before you hear my side.

u say intake thats different from a intake manifold... u never told me that it was not coming with it... i did NOT just pay 100 i paid 165... doesnt matter if that was for shipping... thats what i paid...
to everyone who reads this what is a COMPLETE head...??? does that include head, valves, valves springs, retainers, cams, cam gear, valve cover, intake manifold , fuel rail, injectors etc...???

and to Foozball-26 tell me u did say COMPLETE HEAD???when u were selling?
and yes he did agree to replace the cracked valve and i thank him for that... but the whole idea was i wanted a COMPLETE HEAD!!!

Listen to what you are saying, how is the HEAD not complete without the IM. The IM isnt part of the head, it is its own component. And a head is a seperate part from the block.....

 

Calm the **** down and get your panties out of a knot. A complete head is the head itself. A longblock doesn't even include manifolds. By your definition you should have also got the exhaust manifold. And $100 for a Y8 head is really cheap. ****, usually just the head goes for around $200 without shipping.

 

I feel that the shipping problem is your responsibility because if you want things done, you have to do it yourself. I personally wouldn't trust a woman to package a head for me then walk out the door!
