92-95 civic, 6.5" front (or rear) speaker? Possible?
Hi, I'm in the verge of upgrading my audio system (after theft), I had a set of 6.5 speakers (2 ways) that I'mma put into my car and a set of 5" components, now I have 2 options: modify the rear side bracket to accept the 6.5" speaker, or mount the 6.5 in the front and the 5" mid in the rear location. Which would be more feasable, the 6.5 in the front w/ the 5" in the rear location, or the 6.5 in the rear and the 5" up front (which I'd like).

Um...... I have a 95 Civic and it sucks becuase the holes are 6" in both spots, I put 6.5"s in front, a little big but they fit. and 5.25"s in the back, if you go to any quality audio sound they can make custom plates for like $17 and it will be a perfect fit. What I didn't know which I wish I would have was that boston accustics accually makes the only 6" speaker I have ever seen. Boston's are tolerable speakers, and cheaper then most highend stuff.

Yes, the two and three way version of the Kappas will fit right in (they all use the same chassis and mounting hardware as the components).
The tweeter pods are from a 99-20' Si. They fit pretty well. The only thing was I had to drill that one hole in there for support. Other than that there are no clearence/fitment problems.
