Installed Indiglo gauges, Now Temp. gauge pins 1 min. after startup

Installed Indiglo gauges, Now Temp. gauge pins 1 min. after startup
I installed indiglow gauges in my girls 94 civic EX (did not remove needles). Now the temp. gauge reads HOT (pins). What is the problem, is it coincidence?? I did not see any pinched wires, and it happens even when the gauges are not turned on.
