Default 150-200 direct shot d16?

I'm building a d16 w/ wisco 9:1 pistons and eagle rods w/ a block guard.
With correct fuel and tuning how much nitros can it handle w/ race gas of course.
The setup will be a direct port system from NOS.
And is a VAFC good enough to tune the car or sould i go hondata stage 2.
I'm looking for around 300 whp for the d16z6. Thanks alot.

You should sleeve it.

Sidenote: I ran a 100 shot on a d16 years ago. It lasted about a year, but I only went through a bottle every other month or so.

so w/ the pistons, rods, blockguard and correct tuning do you think the d16 could handle 300whp on race gas?

Just thought it was funny to see "nitros". Kinda like a redneck...."hey boa, how much nitros you got on that sum bitch..."

I've seen crazy stuff like that before. What you should do is sleeve it; get the pistons and rods, then build up your valvetrain to handle the aggresive nature of nitrous oxes. Pick your clutch very wisely in comparison to how your going to run it. Do yourself a favor and take it easy on the intake and such. If you go too crazy you'll easily over-rev, or fry your motor. You don't need air-flow with nitrous that's the common mistake everyone makes. I learned the hard way on that one. Nitrous is an oxidizer so you can run a big tank with a smother type manifold, and make huge power. You just make sure the block can handle it. Especially the bearings.
