What Brand/type of Cold Air Cone/Filter do you recommend
I am looking into replacing the crappy CAI Cone I got with my APC CAI kit. I'm gonna take the old cone and put in on my crappy Geo Storm and wanted to know what you all thought was the best brand/Type/Style/Model cone as far as getting the best flow or whatever. I hope this makes sense.
If I had 3 wishes.....my 1st would be to have $10,000 that I could ONLY spend on modifying my car
Thanks for any help.

I recently read a test/review of all the filters out their and the one with the greatest airflow was the Jackson Racing one. But K&N are good quality, easily available, and good price.
Sweet! I had originally intended to get a K&N, but the FIP kit was almost $200, the APC Intimidator was only $59.99 @ Advanced Auto. So I opted for the cheaper one. Still mad a difference.
Don't laugh, but there is an article on making a CAI for a Geo Storm out of PVC Pipe. That's what the cheap-o cone is going to be for.
Thanks for the suggestions guyz

Hey, I was checking out the Jackson Racing Air Filter. It says something about requiring an additional Crackcase Vent Filter to work right. I've got a host that runs from the crankcase(I think....no it's the valve cover...beside the PVC valve) into a small port on the side of the CAI. Should I actually put a crankcase vent filter on it? Would a CC Vent Filter offer more performance that running it into the CAI? Any ideas? Sorry to ask so many ?'s
Thnx

yeah supposedly you can safely advance your timing a little when you run a cc vent instead a hose from the cc to the intake. and what did you mean when you said " my crankcase... no wait its my valve cover"?
I think the crank case is lower on the engine. I was twisted at 1st and thought the valve cover was the crank case....that's where I said....no wait my valve covers.
Hell-o, I don't know what I mean.
Maybe this would be a good time to ask an embarrasing
question: WhereTH exactly is the crankcase....isn't it closer to the crankshaft...lower down on the engine?
I'm really not a retard...I could probably point it out to ya. Ok...I lie...I really am a retard. Bring on the flames

Looks Like K&N is the overall favorite. Some of the other Filters mentioned are no doubt good, but costly..plus not many stores locally carry them, but K&N can be found anywhere. 'reciate ya peeplz

The test results I have seen showed that the Apex-i filter flowed and filtered the best, with the K&N coming in second in both categories and the HKS and BLitz SUS filters both doing close to K&N with flow but nowhere near as good of filtering.
