mixmastabob you have a 1.5L D series engine that puts out about 105hp and 95ftlb of torque.

I've seen Mista Bone's dyno sheets with just bolt ons and tuning put down 117 whp and 107 ft/tq

 

Well I'd say the purpose is a tech question having to do with what engine the guy has in his car.

It has more purpose than any "look at my new lip" thread or any other looks-related question since it is 100% technical in nature, don't you think?

I'm so tempted to dock 1 % off of you guys who just flamed a guy for asking a perfectly logical question.

Oh, and I love how all these newbies try and act like seasoned flaming pro's, when someone asks a truly decent question.

 

Okay, the 1992-1995 Civic Dx had a 1.5L 16 valve D15B7 in it. It was rated at 102hp.

The D16A6 is the O.E 1988-1991 CR-X/Civic Si motor and it's a 1.6L 16 valve motor rated at 108hp.

 

first of all i took this question like he was trying to be a smart ***... my bad, shouldnt have done that but look at the way he worded everything....

it looks like he was trying to make it a trick ? because he says that he has a dx hatchback and hes wondering what engine he has "right now(its stock)"... i never would have thought that he was asking for HP numbers or i would have told him. the only thing that hints are hp numbers is the (its stock) and he never says anything about comparing his engine to any of the others in EG's.

and yes i do know all the hp figures for all the motors that came in eg's

cx - 70hp
dx/lx - 106
si/ex - 125

and finally vx because it was a newer better version of the cx with vtec, more hp, and better milage too - 90hp

and for the record... i asked mixmastabob what he was trying to ask... it was harsh but then again it wasnt a very clear question to begin with.
