Attention Legend owners
I know little about these cars and I plan to purchase one. What are the differences/improvements within the Legend Coupes from '92 to '95?? Which year is the best to buy?
93 and up coupes got the Type II engine(230 HP), dual piston front brakes and an available 6 speed manual trans. LS coupes also got traction control. All that being said, performance wise a 93 L coupe with a 6 speed is the best because it is the lightest (no heated seats, no power passenger seat, no TCS).
The 91-92 coupes had a 5 speed manual trans and the Type I engine. The Type I engine is 200 HP but has more torgue at a lower RPM than the Type II so it may be a more pleasant daily driver.
If cruising is your bag go for a 95 LS. Still plenty of performance. At 3700+lbs these cars will never be fast in the 1/4 mile. But the 75 to 130 pull is a thing to experience. I know several Legend owners who have buried the 140MPH speedos.

thanks for your input. I'll probably look into a 95 LS automatic. I already have a 5-speed go-kart (EF hatch w/B17a) so I just need a nice car to cruise in.
