95 Accord Lx Coupe With H22A
I just recently did the swap about 4 months ago. The only problem I have had from day one is when. I am driving along and I put it in neutral to coast. While I am coasting my motor idles at about 1500 RPm. When I come to a complete stop, the RPM falls and idles normal at about 700. Would anyone happen to know what causes this?
dont coast in neutral it is bad for the engine/tranny
Now coasting down a hill my be stupid idea though.
that same thing happed to me, the roblemn is that some of your vacum hoses are not attaced properly, and there is a leak some where. find the hose and there is your problem

Coasting in neutral is dangerous, if you have to make an emergency manuever you have to put the car in gear to respond etc.
Its not bad for the engine or tranny. In neutral the car is not in gear therefore the clutch is not engaged so there is no power going through the transmission. Idling is a complicated thing for a modern engine to do, maintaining a certain rpm by reading various sensors and vacuum. Letting a car idle for long periods of time isnt necessarily good for it, but it wont really affect engine life unless its allowed to idle for long periods of time over many years.

this might not be the case, but sometimes when the engine gets lots of cold air does this, my accord doesn't do it, but my old car used to do it, if i let it on neutral on a downhill going at about 60 MPH or some highway speed it would do this. Am i making any sense?
if it runs normal but that is da only problem den its just your throttle cable stuck jes tap da gas pedal once and it will drop down. and if it keeps on continuing then jes lube up da throttle cable a lil.
its a vacuum problem somewhere. thats all
Is there any place I could find a decent vacuum diagram?
