i got the viper790, clifford rs3 is the exact same as the viper, no changes, ive heard good things about the compustar cause its made for a manual tranny while the 790 and rs3 are not.. never used a compustar or know anyone w/ one so i cant voice weather it good or not, only heard good about all three tho

viper 790 and clifford rs 3 are the same alarms made by the same company DEI...Personally i have the viper 790 it also has 1/4 mile range...love the alarm..Personally i prefer how the 790 pager looks versus the compustar

thanks for all the replies guys, hmmm i think i might go with the compustar since it has a 1.25 mile range compared to the 1/4 mile range on the DEI alarms. But the thing the gets me still steering towards the DEI's are the hood sensors. Does compustar have that???? Don't want anyone unplugging my battery and smashing my window real quick...

Just put the 790XV into my brother's car.. other than the fact that it won't learn the tach on his (something's messed up with his car's tach.. the alarm works fine off my tach).. it's flawless. And i don't see how a remote start can be made for a manual.. there is nothing to tell the brain the car is in neutral. The only indicator for any gear is reverse, the sensor built into the tranny that turns the reverse lights on.. other than that, you'd have to use a reed switch setup with a custom mount (have done before.. pretty dumb but works well for the most part.. not bad for home made! lol) or something of that sort
