anyone use ferodo ds3000+ vs ds3000?

i know everyone likes the ds3000, but andie lists a + pad with a higher coefficient of friction. is this for heavier cars and/or people who manage to roast regular race pads?

andie says to go with the regular ds3000 because it's too strong of a compound for the R. i'm guessing it locks up the wheels too easily.
