NO ABSOLUTELY NOT!
The only way I would remotely considder it was if the seller was local and I could actually inspect the engine. I have heard all sorts of horror stories about people buying expensive parts off E-bay and similar sites. In particular I once heard about a guy who bought an "incredible deal" on a five lug swap and was shipped a box full of rocks!
A simple rule to ALWAYS follow. If it sounds to good to be true IT IS!!!!. An "incredible" deal is just that, NOT CREDIBLE!
You should also always ask sellers to give you the VIN # and the history of the part they are selling. If they can't do that the **** is probably stolen and you don't even want to get me started on that topic

hell no dont buy that kind of stuff of ebay.. my boy bought a 2nd gen b16 for his 92 hatch.. got the motor finally w/ a cut wiring harness, many sensors missing, cut axles, no distrubutor, and worse of all it was an automatic.. so it was jdm cause it was auto but he needed manual, after all was said and done he ended up payin over 6k for a b16a installed, he could have got a 18c1 built it up a little or even a b18c5 or better
I would say no. I have a friend that ordered a supposed type-r strut bar, but my other friend had gotten some apc struts for free and they look exactly the same.
I would not trust the people who post ads on ebay.

Well, I've had two experiences.
First - Found a good deal on a b16a2 on ebay from JDM1 in Canada. Thought ok, a nice big company. I decided to make sure I would drive up to Montreal and check it out. They didn't have any aftermarket axles or stock axles both of which they said it would come with, the wires were all cut and I couldn't tell if it was grease or mud all over the engine! IMO it was a shadey deal.
Second - found a b18b from a yard/garage in North Carolina with everything. The pictures were of the motor for sale. I got the address and phone number of the place and it seemed quite legit. He said I could e-mail a list of all the parts I wanted before he shipped it. The only thing I didn't get was the throttle cable. Other than that
IMO it's hit or miss and I if you had a choice go with a company outside of ebay. I lucked out and it doesn't hurt to check it out once in a while. Sometimes a garage that doesn't normally deal with acura/honda will get a wreck and not know of a better place to sell it.
