jdm serialz?
Sorry for being a noob, but I've read on a post somewhere that JDM engines don't come with VINs. Well, if that is the case, how does one get around re-registering a hybrid?

if you're talking about that thin green VIN plaque found on all US 96+ Honda engines, yes they don't come with those. They however have a serial number right below the 'B16A/B18C' stamp though. Thats actually an ID number for the block.
Also, if you're trying to smog your car in a state that requires a smog check, such as CA, you won't pass at most places because the motor doesn't originate in the US. That's just a rule of thumb most. Although some places do pass but I personaly don't know of those places... Some places outta state don't care whether its a US or JDM engine, just as long as you pass the sniffer, I believe. Smog rules differ amongst states. Check your local smog station for more info..
