Default New Lightweight wheel offering. Pics Inside---->

We have added yet another wheel to our FLik lineup. The Flik TDR is a very light heat treated wheel offered in two initial sizes: 15x7 and 17x7. The 15” version of the FLIK TDR weighs a mere 13lbs, and the 17” only 15.5lbs! Great STS/STX wheel option

For you Honda-tech Guys this wheel is currently available in the following fitments
17x7 4x100 ET 38 Flat Black $155
15x7 4x100 ET 40 Flat Black $119
17x7 5x114.3 ET 45 Anthracite $155

Here are some pics
Anthracite

Flat Black

Heres a better pic showing the comparison between the two finishes

and some pics on a vehicle these are 17x7 flat black with Falken Azenis RS 225/45/17 on a GTI 337. Enjoy....

We will be looking into making other sizes available in the near future. Feel free to contact me with any questions regarding the Flik wheels or any of our other products.

I wouldn't suppose you're planning on a 13x9 that could clear GSR calipers? I would be willing to be a test driver if you make some

Yea, I've had my eye on the Team Dynamics Pro-Race 1's for a while. I noticed just the other day that you had started carrying them. (although at a slightly higher price than where I had originally found them - http://www.good-win-racing.com ).

I'm curious as to why ER is calling them "Flik TDR's" though... Seems strange. Anyways... good luck with the advertising before this gets moved.

Jeffs,

Yeah we are working with team dynamics to market these. The problem with goodwin is that they charge extra for rings and hardware were as we include them in the price

I've bought from you before and had no problems.

One advantage you offer is that you sell Azenis also which saves mounting costs.

If you guys truly want to attract autocrossers, make 13x8, 15x7.5 and 15x8 wheels.

Small and wide is where it's at in autox. The Street Prepared guys would *love* you if you'd make a cheap/light 13x8 or 13x8.5" wheel. Plus, you could also market them for dragracing.

The STS/STX folks will want a 7.5" wheel (STS maximum) and 8" wheel (STX maximum). Seriously--you'd sell a ton of wheels because word would spread like wildfire in the community.

SOMEBODY needs to make an inexpensive, lightweight 13x6 and 14x7 wheel for the ITA and ITC racers. There are a whole bunch of these cars all over the country and pickin's are getting pretty slim in the wheel category. Current best option (since the AR-24 is no longer in production) is Panasports and at $167 for a 13x6 wheel it certainly isn't cheap.
Otherwise you take your chances on eBAY.

Mark my words. Market 13x6 and 14x7 wheels that weight around 10lbs, have a 4x100 bolt pattern and a 38mm offset (will fit most of the Hondas, BMWs and VWs) for less than $110 each and you'll sell a shitpot of them.

Remember the backorders and waiting lists for the 15x7 Kosei K1???
Same deal.

I believe the 7.5" SSR's are only available for the 5-luggers. I would imagine you could special order some Volks in some interesting sizes, but same situation price wise...

Sorry Todd00,

Us E/P guys can run no bigger than 15 X7" wheels so we like the current trend in narrow wheels with big cantilever slicks.

You could contact Colin Pegler, Sales Magager for Rim Stock, Team Dynamics Motorsports, West Bromwich, England at opegler@rimstock.com, They can get you any size Team Dynamic wheel you need.

Look here http://www.rimstock.co.uk/rimstockframeset.htm

The Frog is right. 14 x7 is a gerat size for most applications and will clear most brakes under 11.1" rotors.

Volk is the only ones i have seen with the lightweight and size in this 14 x 7

I hate to run on wheels that cost upwards of $300 or more a corner. Racing is damn expensive and anywhere to cut costs is nice. Especially a place such as wheels that only get scuffed, chipped, scratched, and bent...

But i still like these in Black and the pro race in white.

Hmm, i am very interested in getting some 15"x7" wheels, and i have been looking into Kosei K1's, some rotas, but these wheels seem great. I also have 11.1 (itr rotors) up front, is there any specific offset that i need? This is for a GS-R btw... Also 14" has now become a possibility...

I've been running the Pro Race wheels on my big Si for several months of Auto-x and HPDE, and really like them. the 40mm offset seems to provide good tire clearance even with the oversized 205/50/15 Azenis. I washed and inspected them when I pulled them off for winter and they seem to have held up under my curb pounding at the track.

I got mine from Brian at Good-win and have no complaints about his service, but he's set up for the Miata market so you have to source stuff like the hub-centric rings yourself.

I would love to see these wheels in 14x7 with the proper offset for a CRX.

Kamin,

Im sorry about that we are actually still waiting on those wheels and just found out we will no longer be getting 15 or 16" anymore.

paste,

The 40 offset will be perfect.

FOr those of you that would like to see other sizes the problem is that since the wheels are mass produced they would have to do minimum run of say 500-600 wheels for the cost to even start to become viable. Now i know that there are quite a few that would like a 15x7.5 or 8 or some of teh smaller 13 and 14" sizes but the problem becomes that there is not enough to sell the amount of wheels needed to make it cost effective.

Keep the questions coming. Feel free to contact me directly with any other questions or comments.

600 wheels = 150 sets.... it seems it would be easy to reach this if marketed to the right people.

Ha, make a 1,000 13x8 or even 13x7 wheels and that's only 250 sets. If you can sell them at $90-99ea there is no way you'd get stuck with them...

Same thing with 15x7.5 or 15x8 for ~$120ea These will sell even faster...

As the saying goes... "If you build it, they will come..." as long as THEY know it exists...

Edit: 250 sets not 200, oops...

Have these wheels been tested on a road course to make sure they will hold up? I always worry when I see ads for "ultra-light" wheels. Are they going to stay round if you slam them over some inside curbings at speed?

If they can survive the BTCC, they can survive anything. Thanks for the reply.

Yeah, ~150 sets of 13x8 or 15x7.5 in a 4x100 bolt pattern would be *easy* to sell if prices were constant with pricing now.

Once the word gets out, you'd probably be making a few batches.
