Default Useful info if you ever plan on doing prothane bushings

Their bushings seem really nice...very sturdy. However, I have a problem with the rear upper control arm bushing. It didn't fit. It's too small that it actually fits loose in the control arm.

According to Prothane, they've never had anyone complain about it for the 5th gen accords. They even sent me another free pair of upper bushings (thanks...even though you said you were sending me a larger size one .)

Anyway, the only other reason it probably doesn't fit is that the control arms I have aren't OEM. I ordered new control arms (since i can't use my originals that don't have bushings in them anymore) from Honda and I am NOT going to take out the original bushings since theyr'e brand new. I don't want to risk wasting $100 on control arms and find out the prothane ones don't fit.

Maybe someone's done this and knows for sure that if the contorl arms are OEM, the bushings fit perfectly. I know for sure that they don't fit the ones that came on my car OR ones I bought from NAPA (fortunately, they took it back even though the bushings were missing).

Anyway, just a FYI.

Ok, here's another useful info for you...if you have a 5th gen, Energy Suspension doesn't make rear bushings for our cars. That's why I ended up ordering Prothane after I already bought the ES full bushing kit. It didn't come with anything for the back.

Did your kit come with the trailing arm bushings? My stuff was a little mixed up, I got rear 89 crx sway bar bushings.

Is Prothane and Energy Suspension the only companies that make bushing kits for the 5th gen. Just wondering cause I want to do this, but not right now cause I have other things to fix. But when I go to do it I'd like to know what I need to get. Thanks for the info.

Nope, as far as I know for the 5th gen accords, there are no trailing arm bushings. Prothane is the only company I'm aware of that even makes rear bushings for 5th gen accords. The bushings that come with it are 5 pieces. 4 for the lower two control arms and one for the upper control arm. If you go on their website, they don't even show that they make anything for the rear...guess they need to update it.
