Prelude guys. I need your help
My friend is buying a 1995 Prelude Si soon. First I would like some specs on this car.
What Engine, HP/TQ numbers, how quick is it, normal problems, normal maintainance, ect....
If he modify's this how does this timeline look?
Round 1:
Max Rev Turbo Kit w/ t3/60-1 turbo
Hondata s100 Engine Managment
MSD 680cc (65lb) Injectors
Walbro Fuel Pump
B&M Fuel Pressure Ragulator
Clutch (undecided)
Round 2:
Turbo XS Manual Boost controller
Turbo Timer
Round 3:
3" Test Pipe
3" Thermal Cat-back Exhaust
Round 4:
Revamp the motor, seals, gaskets, ect.
JE Pistons
Eagle Rods
Some additional questions.
How much WHP & Psi can the stock Si motor take with a good tuned Rom w/ the Hondata?
What suspension modifications do you recommend?
What brake modifications do you recommend?
Thanks for the help.

his car will have the H23a1 motor. tuned with the hondata dont boost more than 8 daily driver. preludes have shitty ringlands. if he isnt building the motor u will not need that large of injectors. go with 440s or 550s. brakes i like my aem big brakes. then get cross drilled/slotted rotors for the rear since they dont make big brakes for the rear.

Here's an alternative time line:
1) Work real hard and save up about $15,000.00
2) Take $5,000.00 and buy some kind of half-way reliable beater
3) Spend the other $10K building the motor the right way, from the bottom up to handle boost.

Thanks guys. Nice car boosted..
Yes, he will be building the motor in the future.
So, 8psi huh? damn. I run 11psi on my stock b16a. You learn something new everyday.
So 8psi, stock h23a, t3/60-1 .63 a/r, hondata, and full exhaust will make what kind of power?

Make sure the motor is in good shape. And replace the oil pump. My friend never did on his 92 Prelude Si and his motor basically ate itself from the inside out because he never realized how serious that strange noise (bad oil pump) was.

one additional note.. I'd put the turbo timer in with stage one, unless if he wants to sit in his car for a minute to two while it idles to a cool down. Plus I personally would throw a B&M oil cooler in under one of those stages and possible a higher pressure radiator cap (not really needed but will help keep things a little cooler)
Yah I'd like to see more myself. What front bumper is that? Sorry I'm really new to preludes. I'm looking for something suttle to possibly dress mine up a bit.
