Why do most people run 440 injectors w/Hondata?
Why not just get the DSM 450s and a resistor box? Is this ok?
Justin
I've never heard of that. (DSM 450's with a resitor box) are those injectors? What's the box used for? I'm assuming to control it. Would you still need the Hondata?
Any elightment on the subject would be helpful. Thanks!

the resistor box is to run thosae type of injectors on a honda ecu, it is need w/most all aftermarkt injectors. some years preludes and accords come stock w/them. yes you will still need hondata or some engine mgmt.
So why would you purchase the DSM's, and the resistor box if your going to have Hondata?
I just recenty purchased the Hondata S200... I plan on just using some 310rc's. I know they recommend 440. but the 310's should work. Don't you think?

people rather get 440s because its plug and play... no need for a resistor box. some would rather get 450s for cheap...

310's way too small. 440's are good to about 12psi for 80% duty cycle. DSM injectors need a resistor box bc they are peak and hold injectors with a low impedance. Civic and Integra injectors are saturated, which is high impedance.
Actually, in Integra's P/H injectors are pre 91 and older, saturated type is in the 92 and later(that's when you need the resistor box)
I was thinking about something like this:

I'm not sure, but I think my greddy kit already comes with OBDI injector clips which would fit the 450s? I think I read this somewhere. Anyone know if this is true?

I only plan on boosting no more then 10psi at the track, and on race gas only. Just enought to keep me in the 12sec category. That's all I'm worried about. I hit a 12.99 at the track with supercharger 8psi w/ a shot of nos. No hondata on stock injectors. I did run a different ecu, and have built head though! I think the 310's will be fine for 10psi max! What do you think?
Thanks for all the insight from everyone!

If you read my post thats exactly what I said.
I think 310s are much to small for 10psi.. Personally I'd get some rc 550s so you're not maxing out the injector... that way if u decide to boost to 15 or so, you don't have to get new injectors.
go get a direct port (4 fogger nos only fuel) you only have to change jet to tune your car
its cheap and reliable and fast up to 24 psi whit a huge turbo(400-500whp )
im running this system whit great succes
no i dont smoke crack!!!
just do it!
