88 hatch seatbelts vs. 91 seatbelts
Hey, I picked up this 88 hatch last week and the interior looks pretty good. I like the fact that the seatbelts are not attached to the door, and they also have little pockets. Is it possible to switch door panels and rear quarter interior panels so I can convert to seatbelts that are not in the door?
Why did honda change this?
Are there any benfits to having the belts in the doors? (mine always get slammed in the door, but they still prolly will even with the 88 style.)
Anybody ever do this?, got pics?
thanks
Joe

Yeah you can you need the belts and doorpanels, you will have to drill into the pillar maybe to mount them I think, unless they already had the hole under the plastic part. But yeah it can be done.
I have an 88 without seatbelts in the doors(they're on the pillar) and I havn't slammed mine in the door yet, but i have a friend with the seatbelts in the door and I know how annoying that can be
