Im trying to put a 1" tweeter in stock location.. has anyone done it?

 

unscrew the orginal tweeter from behind the door panel. then depending on the types of mounts that you have you can either keep the factory screen and hot glue one to the back of the door being carefully and using the factory metal bracket on the tweeter. or you second option is if you have a mount that is large enough to fit in the factory whole pull it off and mount there. or a third option is cutting the screen with a dremel and top loading the tweeter in that whole.
