Transmition oil ( and i say oil dont use 90 Wt.) goes on the uppermost bolt (plug) on the rear of the tranny i would suggest red line mtl and high temp grease is prefered but not nessary

um...what?

i'm asking about what grease to use on the input shaft, where the clutch mounts. you need to grease that and the release bearing, and i want to find out if i need some special grease for this.

the otehr question was if the tranny fluid has some way to get inside the differential. when i was working on mine, it looked kinda sealed off from the rest of the tranny, plus Helms tells you to grease the spider gears. kinda leads me to think that maybe tranny fluid doesn't get inside the diff.

i would use some high temp grease on the input shaft. its always better to be safe.

not sure about fluid getting to the diff, but i would think it should since the diff is near not oily.

Well, you would think that trans fluid gets to the diff because LSD additive is added to the trans fluid, correct?
