hestiation to start on cold or hot weather: where can i start?
i am rare at posting threads at honda-tech, cause most of the time, i'd just go ahead and do a search or im an h-t friend. and i also have done a search, and found a few things, but need more info than those. this question sounds simple enough to the tech gurus, just as my topic says...
being a tech am, my guess is it's the starter itself. i'm about to clean it up with an electrical degreaser(any thoughts on those?). it could be a few other things as well. any help is appreciated.

What do you mean by hesitation to start? Does the engine refuse to spin, or doesn't it want to fire right away?
my mistake h-t techs. it does turnover. this is one thing i notice. if my car has been running for a long period of time, the second i turn the engine off, then turn it back on, it dies out. thanx there sgt spade. the idea of replacing my fuel filter is the first thing i'm gonna do, right after i get back from leave. any other suggestions?

Can you get a hold of a Mulimeter? Test the battery, and then attempt to start the car while testing the battery to rule out the electrical.
Also, have you pulled your plugs to see what they look like?

i'll be replacing the fuel filter this weekend, replacing brake drum shoes, i'll check the charge reading on both the battery and the starter, and pull the plugs out. anything else? appreciate it.
Those are the basic steps to start at.....we will know more after you test the battery and alternater (not starter) and look at your plugs.
How many miles are on the engine? Has the cap and rotor of the distributor ever been replaced? (may have to do that pending on the spark plugs)
