Default Question about crank??

If i took a crank out of a honda crx hf motor and put it into a crx dx motor, would i get more power? I know that the compression ratio is higher in the hf but the hf is also dpfi and dx is mpfi. I was just curious, i asked this before and i had no replies so i thought i would ask once again. Any info would be great.

Thanks,
Matt

i would think it would be worse if anything the hf is built for 72? hp wile the dx crank is made for 102 hp not anything to wory about but it wouldnt be any better and about the compression the hf crank wouldnt effect the dx's compression

dpfi and mpfi=

dual point fuel injection

multi point fuel injection

you know this has nothing to do with the crank right??

hf is also dpfi and dx is mpfi.

you have those backwards anyway. I wouldn't mess with it, but your answer would come in the specs of the two cranks.

I am pretty sure it is the crank that increases the compression. I was not sure of the dpfi thing mpfi, i always get the 2 mixed up. The dx motor is for 92 and the hf is for 64, i believe. I figured if you did swap the cranks, you may have to mess with the timing, but i am not sure, i asked my instructor at school, he said he was not sure.

If your car has a 92 motor, isnt that a d15b7? If thats what you have forget about the HF. What is the difference in stroke on the two cranks anyway?

i am not exactly sure right now but i can check tomorror. the hf motor crank is a like 9:1 compression and the dx is like 8:4:1. Something of that nature, i can get the EXACT specs tomorrow. We have this Mitchell on demand program that has almost any and everything about the car of how to's. pretty cool stuff. Oh yeah, my motor is the d15b2, not b7, 92 horse.

its the pistons that control compression.....but also

most if not all 1.5 cranks from 88-2000 are all the same

i know for a fact all 1.6 cranks are the same from 88-00
