Default EBC sucks crap @ track, proven once again...

car 1. jdm 96 itr turbo, brand new set of EBC red pads, broken in, cooled down 1 hour, ran ... brand new down to backing plate in less than 1.5 hour of track time. @ thunderhill (which is not known to be hard on the brakes)

car 2. integra gsr-r, EBC reds also, worn out very quickly too.

it happened to me before and I vowed never to buy EBC ever. i thought it might've been manufacturer's defect, but apprently, it is still just as shitty today.

they work ok for street/autox, but not track worthy at all. i put in a new set of pepboy raybestos ceramic enhanced again, about 140 track miles on it, only used about 1/4.

Grandma used to say smart folk should learn from their mistakes, and really smart folk learn from others' mistakes. Thanks for reminding me again why I will never runs these pads at a track event.

Frank, didn't I say this before?????

Reds = 3 30 minute sessions
Greens = 2 30 minute sessions

Car owner reported perfect braking all the way to the backing plates.

If that's Chok's CalTrans Orange GSR then I can tell you those pads aren't even worthy for autocrossing. I drove it once and I couldn't get the damn car stopped. I think it was just that I couldn't get them up to temp autocrossing them.

I think the only reason those 2 cars run that EBC stuff is because the owner of the ITR is a dealer for them.

of course i know better. screw EBC, forever. it was some friends that didn't know any better. they are autoxer's being converted to road racers and they've been using ebc for autox.

jeremy: yah it was chok's. "caltrans" orange... haha i like that name.

bone: consistantly shitty down to the pads is definetely EBC's trait... haha.
