Default Stiff spring, big bar or Big bar, soft spring?

Is there a difference if you dial in rear roll stiffness with springs as opposed to sway bars?

is there an advantage with say going either
stiff spring small bar or
big bar softer springs.

Seems like stiff spring small bar is only practical on a track where conditions are smooth.

personally i like to run softer spring bigger bar because it feels more forgiving on undulated pavement

Beware, rear subframes have been known to suffer tear out from running 22mm or larger rear bars & soft springs.

Big bars tie an independent suspension together; springs allow your suspension to conform to road surfaces independently. It has been said that anti roll bars should not exceed 25% of the total roll stiffness but percentages will differ from car to car. There is no one "perfect set up".

stiff spring+big bar=3 wheeling much earlier in a turn.

i've driven a couple cars with this setup and really did not like it. but i'm weird, i drive a car with 600lbfr/500lbrr springs.

A roll bar is just another spring in essence... like a helper spring.. it lets you run lower spring rates to get a better ride and good hadeling with a sway bar. If you springs are stiff enough, 1000lbs or more depending on the car , a lot of people think sway bars are not needed.

As an interesting side note, the NASCAR guys seem to now be using huge front bars and not much front spring so their cars sit lower in the straights (the downforce pushes it down, which helps the aerodynamics even more, making it faster). Interesting way to somewhat skirt a rideheight rule
