yea sounds kinda steep. what gen of b16a? my friend got a full swap from hmo for 1150 and installed for 800. of course you're gonna need motor mounts and such, and shipping if ordered online. but still 3500 seems too much. shop somewhere else.

$3500 for the complete swap include installation, isn't steep if it's the 99-00 civic si b16a2. get that clear up which motor is going to be used. if it's the first gen; you're ripped off.

$3500 for it installed is different. Sure it's a little pricey but you wont have to hunt down a place to buy the motor, have it shipped, then haul the crap to the shop. Then pray that you have all the parts you need. For peace of mind and a nice motor swap 3000-3500$ doesn't sound bad. If the swap sucks you have someone to bitch at, as opposed to the blame being on you and no hopes of getting it fixed. My brother's B18B installed in a 5th gen CX was $3500, it was a great car.
