my friend needs to remove his lense from his corner, and the traditional oven baking method didnt work. does anyone know an easier way to do it, without breaking or damaging the lense in any way? TIA.

hahaha, not sure how affective the chainsaw method is, but it would get you there faster. the only option is to bake it longer and start cutting as soon as they get out, or to tediously chip them away. those methods are pretty outdated and since there are so many companies with different styles and different prices, the best thing to do is to just buy some. good luck either way though.

 

true, but the effect hes going for is make them black houseing...and those euro ones are hidious so just basically tryin to be different and look good at the same time...hes got the black housing projectors so he wants to match it up to that.

 

dont do it dude....trust me i tried...the thing about EG corners is that once it's all said and done, when you glue the lense back onto the housing, the glue shows on the outside, the seal is not hidden behind the hood like the headlights (know what i mean?)....it looks really bad IMO.....plus it's hard to remove and heat wong even help---you just might crack it......i know you dont wanna hear this, but from my past experience trying to make black housing corners, it's not worth it....good luck anyways

 

just get some from ebay.

 

its not really worth it modin the stock corners or tryin to take them apart. i tried. it just bad when its all back together again. just get a set of what ever kind you want. there are plenty out there.

 

well i guess if someone knows of black housing corners that arnt the euro ones...preferably the all clear corners like the Stanley ones...please fill us in, other wise i guess hes just SOL...thanks for the feedback
