Default MSD Questions

I have a question like back when I first started...

My friend has a whole msd setup, i guess the ignition, sparkplugs, etc... what is the point? Mulitple Sparks = More energy? What are the gains in getting a MSD setup? I know they sell fuel pumps and more stuff... but what are the gains for the ignition? Is it worth the money? How hard is it to install?

-Jon -asking questions like before "Nick" was admin...

It's really not necessary unles you have Forced Induction or a huge nitrous setup...

cleaner combustion, smooths the powerband out, but its real added value is when FI comes into play
