Default Relay Assy, Problem..

I'm just working out some of the quirks in the CRX I just purchased.

It has a 91 JDM B16A SiR motor, the swap was done just fine. But there are some minor wiring problems, because my friend that I bought it from, toyed with it alot.

Right now, the problems that are left are... EVAP(sp?) sensor, running the knock sensor (he removed it for some bizaar reason.. ), and the Relay Assy. The car has a hard time starting, the motor turns over just fine, but he told me the car doesn't send enuff voltage to the motor, and a new main relay assy would fix it.

So, I put the 12V Main Relay Assy in the car, connect it, attempt to start the car, and nothing. It won't start AT ALL. So, I throw the old one back in, and it starts up after a few attempts.

Here are some pictures of them.

New Assy.

Old Assy.

Everything runs fine, minus the idle problem due to the EVAP (sp?), and the knock sensor not letting me rev over 7100 atm. Other than that, the VTEC crossover ect. is all flawlessly done.

I can't figure out this minor problem tho, if anyone could help, thanks!

Oh, I have to also "bump" the original relay (NOT the new one) with my hand or a screw driver and turn the key a few times to get it to start. I don't think this could be a short, but that is what I have to do to also get it to start with the old relay.

Problem fixed, it turns out the "new" relay was bad too!

My friend hooked up his relay from his Integra, and waalah, starts right up.

One problem down, 2 to go.

that's why you should always use a new relay to find oout if a problem is fixed. if it doesn't fix the problem, return it for a refund.
