Default thinking of building turbo EK Civic hatch. Anyone done this?

I'm thinking of selling my '99 Si and getting an EK Civic hatch, then dropping in a turbo and some other goodies. Has anyone done this? If so, I'd appreciate your thoughts, recommendations, etc. basically any info that might help like best places to get parts.
Thanks

actually it cant be done, its because of the way that the blinker fluid resevoiirs sit in the engine bay, leaves NO room for turbo, although i have heard of people shoe horning in motors from integras. just a rumor though im sure

Those Hybrid EK's with integra motors...pure myth. I don't think a B-series has ever been put into an EK Hatch before....and then adding a turbo....now THAT is original! But really, if you can't find information about a hybrid-turbo EK hatchback, you must have trouble finding your way home at night....

You retards don't know anything. Clearly you forgot that the flux capacitator is located in the rear of the engine, making it physicaly impossible to rotate the secondary actuator enough to fit a turbocharger.
However i heard rumors that hasport is manufacturing a specific mount that will let you place the turbocharger under the passenger seat, and run the piping through the center console and into the RMIC (Roof Mounted Intercooler).
But word on the street that this won't happen unless hasport wins there lawsuit against Jack in the Box. Apparently Jack and the owner of hasport got into a argument over the new Sante Fe Chicken sandwich, which escaladed into a fist fight. So technically it's up the Supreme Court to decide if this mount will ever come out.

No you damn newbie, it's 2.1 x 3.14XXX. Then it must be raised to the power of X. Where X equals the air density. Then you will get the aproximate jiggawatt rating.

Just so you guys will know for future reference, I know someone who has an EK hatch with a turbo. My best friend is a mechanic for Acura, and a fellow mechanic has it.

Yes, I have actually seen the turbo in the car, and yes I have actually seen it driven. Plus I have had three mechanics and two shops tell me that not only can they do it, but that it has been done a number of times.

Do your homework before you answer someone's legitimate question. I'm asking for tips and general experiences from people who have done this, not smartass comments from people with too much time on their hands who just want to flame someone because they can't think of anything better to do.

legitamate questions deserve legitamate answers. stupid questions that can be easily answered deserve a "STFU and search you damn n00b" and whoever told you it is possible to put turbo on a hatchback is a crackpot, i want proof

Notice how available applications include 96-00 CX and DX? Oh, but let me guess - these guys don't know what they're talking about, right?

By the way, EKTurboHatch, that's an absolutely beautiful car!

I see. So first I'm "an idiot and a crackpot" for proposing such a ridiculous idea as turbocharging a hatchback. Then when it turns out I'm actually right, I'm taking myself too seriously?

Why don't you tell the morons who think they know everything to stop taking themselves so seriously? And as for turbos sucking, how much do you actually know about them? Can you explain WHY they suck?

They were joking with you ya tool. There is over 100 turbo EK's on this board and i'm sure alot of them are hatches. You could have spent 2 minutes searching and found tons of info but instead you post and want us to do your searching for you. BTW if your mechanic says it can be done, what the hell are you talking to us for?

Okay, I have to say this: There are lots and lots and lots of turbo hatchbacks – it's been done hundreds of times! DO A SEARCH and you'll find all the info you need. Search here, serach at http://www.google.com, there is a TON of information out there. So, don't get so mad because YOU didn't do any homework on the subject.

hey man you posted this on our local forum too. i would suggest that you not get in a flame war with these people because you will not win. first off i don't know why you are trying to prove to us something we already know. you asked a beat to death question so now they are going to flame you. maybe you should ask your question more specifically.
Example : "What would be the best turbo to use on my hybrid hatch?"
or " i'm thinking about switching to an EK and then turboing it. Is it worth it?"

i suggest you go spend some time in the FI forum. you can get alot of info in there.

Sarcasm - noun

1.A cutting, often ironic remark intended to wound.
2.A form of wit that is marked by the use of sarcastic language and is intended to make its victim the butt of contempt or ridicule.

*edit* They are just giving you a hard time man ease up
