Should the RSX forum include the 02+ Si?
Since the EP3 (New Si) topics in the EG + Civic forum get little to no attention, should this forum expand to RSX/EP3 forum?
Afterall, the RSX does share the K series motor and several other parts with the new Si, so it seems logical.
Thoughts?

and this deals with my question how?
FYI- the K series motor is the *best* Honda has released yet, even better that the B series. Don't mean to rattle your cage, but facts are facts. The only think wrong with the new cars is their suspension, and word is still out on how this will work. Let's see what real raceteams (like realtime) does with theirs before we say stupid things, shall we?

oval pistons thats all i have to say
jk
the RSX motor i have heard is good and i cant say anything about the new civic, but i WAS refering to the suspesion and the way they handle....the civic mostly. You know stock for stock the car is just not the same.
oh, and i would argue that the b16 is the best motor honda has ever made.

Stock for stock the New Si and the RSX-S is every bit as good as the car it replaces (99-00 Civic Si and 94-01 GSR). Look at the performance numbers--they don't lie.
As for the best Honda motor, the K series no heavier than the B series and you'll see folks getting 240@ the wheels (all motor) with this motor very soon (if not now). No way you'll *ever* see a B16 doing that. Mabve a B18C5 that has been totally, totally worked--but a totally worked K series will put out even better numbers than that.

I think the new Si and RSX should share the same forum. They share so much in common and can help each other out. They have similar K series motors.
rsx type S ( k2oa2)
rsx base (k2oa3)
Si (k2oa3)
Plus questions that they may have we can maybe answer to help them along the way. IMO I say combine the two forums.

Can you back up why you think the B16x is the best motor?

experience, aftermarket support, PROVEN reliability/potential, established reputation, cheap(er), interchangable with all B-series (minus the 18a and b's)

edit: yea, add the civic to this forum.

i think it'd be a good idea to integrate make it the RSX/EP3 forum. the cars have a lot in common, and it'll make things more lively here in the RSX forum. I dig the RSX Type S. Test drove one the first week they were out and I was like,
. Damn they are nice. I'd prefer a DC5-R from Japan, but that's not really an option right now. Yeah,
toi adding EP3's to this forum. Also if Honda of America releases a new R, then this forum should have it as well since the ITR forum guys are so anti-RSX and anti-EP3.
Why yes I too have a b18c5 under the hood, but I definitely respect a nice K-series motor.

It makes sense to have the new civic si and rsx be together on honda-tech... cause old school civic and integra owners can hate on them at the same time...
The EG+ Forum doesn't have a lot of support for the EP3, and I've resorted to an occasional visit to "EPhatch.com" to try to get more information. (However, their user base seems a little immature.)
I'd much rather see EP support at Honda Tech.

LOL
I'm EMBARRASED about your education.
It's "embarrassed." If you're going to assault other people's grammar you should be sure your own is unassailable.
Edit: yes, I think the EP3 belongs in the same forum as the DC5.

Can you back up why you think the B16x is the best motor?
sylvia motor (SR20DET)
the 2nd gen mr2 turbo motor
supra motor
oh and the fact that it has one of the best rod to stroke ratios...oh yea that matters too not just how big you wing is, how loud you exhaust or how "DANGEROUS" your VEEEETEK is (i'm not even gonna start with the altezzas
)anyway everyone knows that the "older" honda performance motors were more efficient (power)
and for those who insult my writing skills: this is a forum not a flame-a-thon, we are here to share oppinions and help eachother out .... oh wait i'm in the alezza forum wooops, thats why i never bothered clicking on it before

well the fact that it should be in the "motor hall of fame" with the

S2000 =
Displacement (cc) 1997
Horsepower @ rpm (SAE net) 240 @ 8300
Torque (lb-ft @ rpm) 153 @ 7500
Show me a stock B series with that kind of efficiency...
Anyhow, the B18 is a better motor than the B16. If you build them both, the B18 will be faster...always.
