Went to pick up my car and test drove the beast.
-DAMN!-
I dont know why I was ******* around with sohc motors in the first place.
wish I had this motor a long time ago.
This motor just pulls you all the way.
I am glad that I got this swap than a b16.
Also glad I didnt spend alot of money trying to fix up previous motor.
I am a happy camper! Finally
I will have pics up soon of my hatch and the heart of it

Why did you go with the B18c1 instead of the B16? Just curious because I am going to have to make this decision come spring

Congrats, it's a great feeling isn't it. You are probably going to want to start enhancing the engine right away, but the only thing I would recommend is dropping those kumho tires, get some azenis, a rear sway bar and start autocrossing.

More torque and HP?
More torque and HP?
I hear alot of people saying they wish they had more torque in there b16a, so took that info and got a b18c1.
Perfect for boosting later on down the rode.
When I drive, I can feel how much torque this motor has,QUICK

When I drove it almost started to cry. LOL

and I ONLY paid $2500 for the complete swap with install and warrenty.
B18C1 has alot more useable torque while running around town. I think you made the right choice and will not be sorry.

Congrats on the swap though, its a nice motor. But one thing i want to know, why do people bash the B16A? If you get the JDM SiR2, it has 170hp. Yes it lacks a bit on torque, but with the right mods the b16 pulls VERY well in the mid/top-end...

::cough::STOLENMOTOR::cough:: If you got a B18C1 for anywhere less than $3000 for the complete swap, then more likely than not its stolen. Not only did you get the motor for $2500 (the entire swap), but that was for install too....unless you know exactly where that motor came from, I might be kinda skeptical as to the legality of that motor...just a thought. Not saying it is stolen, just hypothesizing on why a motor that normally sells for $3300 complete swap, you got for $2500 complete swap + install...

Well for one thing
Stuff in Texas can be a bit cheaper from things bought in northern states.
I used to live in Oregon, and it was kinda expensive living there.
This shop gets some of their motors from a wrecker store, which sometimes gets in cars that have been bumped from the back and the insurance totals it.
The motor is legit and purrs like a cat!

And another thing is that if a shop thats been here for a while is selling stolen motors, I think they would have been caught selling them by now.
